Sources

Deb Bird, (August 31, 2005) - Found records at IHSAA for Girls State Swimming and Diving programs. There was no girls state before 1975. Also, the season that girls swam switched around a couple of times - it has been both a fall and a winter sport. There was no information on coaches, nor on results for a few years.

Darrell and Leah Butler (Sept, 2005) - Starting with Deb's information, searched IN coaches websites and newspaper articles to try to fill in information not available through IHSAA. Very difficult to find information.

Laurie Rowan Barnett (Jan 2006) - provided information about 1974-1978. Two updates: Jana Dillon swam on 400 FR in 1977 (not Kathy Balser) and Laurie swam 50 free at state in 1976.
