Laura Slight
YHS Head Swimming Coach

| Coach Laura grew up swimming for the Sugar Creek Swim Club in Crawfordsville, IN. She graduated from North Montgomery High School, where she swam four years. She moved onto college swimming at Ball State University where she swam distance for the Cardinals. Laura has coached for Sugar Creek Swim Club, Shelbyville Middle School and Halteman Swim Club. She is active in the Ball State Mashers’ Swim Team and also employed by Wes Del Schools as a Title1 teacher’s Aide |

Matt Routh
YHS Swimming Assistant Coach

| Matt is currently a masters student at Ball State University studying anatomy and physiology, with ambitions to go to medical school. He swam all four years while attending Yorktown High School (class of 2006) and made the state team for three of the years (relays and 100 yd butterfly). After high school, he continued his swimming career at Wabash College as a four year varsity letter winner. During that time, he was also an age group coach for the Catalina summer swim team. Matt now looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with swimmers at the high school level. He feels that swimming has provided him with a lot of opportunities and he is glad to have the chance to pass this on! |

Ashley Jones
YHS Swimming Assistant Coach

Ashley grew up as a YMCA swimmer in Joliet, IL. and a fourteen time YMCA champion. She swam five years at Indiana University and was a four time NCAA qualifier and three time Olympic Trials qualifier. In 2009 she became an All-American in the 400 IM. In 2011, she earned her spot on the USA World University Games team and competed in Shenzen, China. She is a member of the current USA national team.

Tyler Donges

Tyler graduated from Yorktown in May of 2011 and was on the diving team all four years. He has spent the last 5 years training year round with various coaches. He is studying Counseling Pshchology at Ball State University and minoring in theatre and coaching.

Jim Leffler,
YHS Volunteer Swimming Coach

| Jim is respected tri-athlete from Delaware County. He was an assistant coach at Central High School before joining the Tigers. He was the assistant coach of the YHS Swimming and Diving Team from 2000-2010. He now is taking on the role of a volunteer coach. Jim is known for his sense of humor and weight lifting prowess. Jim also coaches cross country and track at YHS. |

Frank is a longtime swim parent well-known in Yorktown as well as the state of Indiana and first volunteered to help coach the high school teams during the 2007-2008 season.
